How we know this: We see the same homes every quarter — this is the cadence that actually keeps glass clear without overpaying.
For most Southern California homes, the best schedule is one full interior + exterior clean per year plus an exterior-only refresh six months later. Homes with sprinkler exposure, open-field views, or rooftop solar usually move to a quarterly exterior plan.
What our climate actually does to glass
Southern California gives windows a pretty rough year. Spring drops a heavy pollen layer. Summer brings dry, dusty Santa Ana winds and zero rinsing rain. Fall adds wildfire smoke and ash on bad years. Winter mixes in light rain that turns existing dust into mineral-flecked spots.
Each season leaves a different residue, which is why a 'clean once and forget it' approach almost never holds up here for a full year.
A simple year-round schedule
- Late spring (May): full interior + exterior, plus screens.
- Late fall (October–November): exterior-only refresh before holiday guests.
- Add: solar panel cleaning once a year, ideally late spring.
- Add: hard water restoration on first-floor sprinkler-hit glass as needed.
When to step up to quarterly
- Sprinklers regularly hit the windows.
- Home borders open fields, vineyards, or active construction.
- Two-story home with big rear elevations facing pools or backyards.
- Storefront or commercial entry glass.
- You entertain often or list your home for short-term rental.
Why timing matters more than people think
Cleaning right after pollen drops in late spring resets the glass for the whole dry season. Cleaning again in late fall catches summer dust before winter rain bakes it on. Two well-timed visits do more than four randomly scheduled ones.

Frequently asked questions
› Is twice a year really enough?
For most homes without sprinkler exposure, yes — a full clean plus an exterior refresh covers it.
› Do you offer recurring plans?
Yes — quarterly, every-4-month, and twice-a-year plans, no contracts. Recurring rates are lower per visit.
› What month should I book my first cleaning?
Late April or May is ideal in our area. December is the second-busiest window because of holiday hosting.
